Conference Introduction

This will be the 49th annual conference of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists.

We cordially invite you to join 1,000+ veterinary ophthalmology industry experts at the 49th annual conference of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This cutting edge, scientific conference brings together approximately 800-900 veterinarians and technicians who represent the best in veterinary ophthalmology around the world, providing them with 17-22 hours of CE. The ACVO conference draws attendees and vendors from over 30 countries, and is held in the United States. The conference has recently hosted approximately 650-750 veterinarians, 150 technicians, 100 vendors (65 booths) and 50 registered guests.

The 2018 schedule will be announced in late winter after the Planning Committee meets. The conference typically includes: scientific abstract presentations + scientific poster sessions, keynote speaker lecture, sub-specialty interest groups,  Specialty Day for General Practitioners', and a breakout specialty course. Several social events will be available including a Welcome Reception with our vendors, photography competition, ‘Fun Run’, and Friday social event.

The call for papers for the general and poster sessions will open in April, please check back at that time.

Attendee registration is typically open from May through September and offers discounted fees for verifiable residents, interns and students. All conference attendees will receive access to online presentation recordings for the year they attend.

We look forward to hosting  the annual exhibits and trade show of the top leading industry professionals. If you’re a vendor interested in exhibiting, please visit the exhibition tab.

Additional years (2011-current) are available for purchase for anyone interested. This system allows the user to search topics or speakers across all years’ presentations. All ACVO attendees will gain immediate free access included in their registration. Access can also be purchased by non-attendees for these and the General Practitioner courses for a fee. All active ACVO Members receive access after three months.
