From the Cornea to the Brain:
A Deep Dive into Neuro-Ophthalmology
This session will be an in-depth review of neuro-ophthalmology. From neuroanatomy to the diagnosis and treatment of neuro-ophthalmologic diseases, current literature will be reviewed/discussed.
Talisha M. Moore
DVM, DACVIM (Neurology)
Dr. Talisha M. Moore completed graduate coursework and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University (MSU). Her research investigated schizophrenia using a transgenic mouse model. Dr. Moore continued her clinical training with a small animal medicine and surgery internship at MSU and a residency in neurology and neurosurgery at Purdue University Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Following residency, she spent one year as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Purdue University prior to returning as faculty to MSU in Summer 2017. She remained in that role until September 2020, when she joined University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine as a Clinical Assistant Professor. She enjoys all aspects of neurology and neurosurgery, especially spinal stabilization surgeries, spinal tumor surgeries, and management of seizures.
