The Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine is offering a three-year residency position in comparative ophthalmology beginning in July 2019. The residency is directly supported by four faculty ophthalmologists.
Each year, Eye Care for Animals carefully selects a handful of candidates wishing to specialize in veterinary ophthalmology to join our residency program.
The 3-year residency program (2019-2022) at ISU provides in-depth training in ophthalmology with 3 faculty mentors (Rachel Allbaugh, Gil Ben-Shlomo, Lionel Sebbag) and 2 resident-mates (Braidee Foote, Louise O’Leary).
The Ohio State University, Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences will be offering a combined 3-year clinical ophthalmology residency, with a Master’s Degree. The program is supported by 3 full-time faculty mentors and has a primary objective of preparing the resident for successful completion of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists board certification process.
This is a 4-year program designed to prepare the resident for a career in academia through comprehensive training in medical and surgical ophthalmology of large and small domestic animals, animals used in laboratories, and non-domestic animals; ophthalmic screening of mice for the International Mouse Phenotyping Consortium; development and execution of hypothesis-driven research; and weekly rounds with the Medical School.
