Dr. Allbaugh is originally from Waterloo, Iowa and received her DVM degree from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. After completing a one year small animal medicine and surgery internship at Carolina Veterinary Specialists in Greensboro, North Carolina she moved to Manhattan, Kansas for a veterinary ophthalmology residency at Kansas State University. Following residency training Dr. Allbaugh joined the Kansas State University Department of Clinical Sciences faculty as an Assistant Professor in 2008.

Dr. Allbaugh’s passion for veterinary ophthalmology began with her own cat's nearly blinding eye disease. Since that time she has been devoted to the field, enjoying not only clinical practice but also teaching and research. In her free time Dr. Allbaugh loves spending time with her family and friends, as well as playing sports, riding horses, hiking, jogging, and any other outdoor activity.
