GENERAL PRACTITIONERS COURSE

Saturday, October 9, 2010 | Paradise Point Resort & Spa

Registration: Pre-registration for the GP course closed on September 3rd, but you may walk up on Saturday, October 9th to attend. We have acquired a large facility so no one will need to be turned away. The registration fee for this course is $225. General conference registration (for the previous week) is NOT required in order to register for this one day course. Typical attendance is 80-100 practitioners, therefore the atmosphere is appropriate to be interactive when desired. See course objectives and speakers' topic descriptions below. If you wish to also register for the general conference you will receive a discount off your registration ($55 for DVMs, $30 for Residents/Interns, and $10 for Students). The general conference runs October 6-9th and is $475 minus the reduction in fees noted above. Again you do not have to register for the general conference to attend this one day course. Register today!

Course Objectives: This course is designed for the needs of the general practitioner and/or ophthalmology intern/student. Topics vary year to year but remain focused on educating the general practice DVM on what can easily be done to help patients within their office, learn when to refer, when/how to treat in office, and how to know the difference. This course has been held across the country for the last four years and has received rave reviews. A reduced rate is offered if you register for both this course and the general conference. All courses offered by the ACVO are RACE approved, grand-father clause approval based on our 40+ year history of providing outstanding education to veterinarians.

Registration Includes: 8 hours of RACE approved continuing education, continental breakfast (7-8am), plated luncheon, course proceedings, discount for general conference registration and opportunity to visit exhibitors. It is suggested that if you would like to visit exhibitors you arrive by 7am if possible, vendors will be located in a different area of the hotel and if you wish to visit them prior to the meeting we would like you to not be rushed. They will also be open during the lunch period for your perusal. Please note the time schedule runs from 8am - 5:00pm.
