Wednesday Night Sea World Welcome Reception
Enjoy ACVO’s most original Welcome Reception yet…at a private ‘Shamu’ show in Sea World! We have a lovely reception planned including hors d'œuvres, and two drink tickets. Mingling will be followed by a private show in THE Shamu stadium for an evening presentation ONLY for ACVO attendees. The show will be catered to our veterinarians and will include husbandry and medical discussions from the medical staff on site…it will include quite a bit of fun too and a light show.
This even will be child friendly, but will take place in the evening. Every individual attending would have to have a ticket purchased for them, children included. Children under the age of 3 are free. A full price ticket will be needed for children 3 and over. The Shamu show will be entertaining while including extra information of interest to veterinarians. We also plan to have a Sea Lion visit during the reception if possible.
Shuttle bussing will be provided or the event is a quick 10 minute walk from the Resort. Even though this is a Welcome Reception, a fee of $20 will be charged to help offset some costs. General conference registration will be available earlier that day and in the morning on Thursday at Paradise Point but will not be available at this Sea World event.

Thursday Night Exhibitor Reception
Take some time to visit with representatives from over 30 ophthalmology companies and your colleagues in the exhibit hall and deck overlooking Mission Bay.
Silent Auction
Past ACVO Vision for Animals Foundation auctions have been successful due to the generosity of sponsors and buyers. Help us prepare for another successful auction at the 2010 conference by making a donation. The Foundation’s goal is to raise enough money to develop a self-funding grant program. It has already funded more than $160,000 in research grants in the past seven years! Your or your company may wish to participate by donating an item for the auction. This donation is tax-deductible and will attract attention to your company and products. Cash and/or personal donations are also welcome.Thank you again for your past and future participation. A donor list for 2009 was included in the December 2009 Diplomate newsletter and on the ACVO web site. Make sure your company is on this list for 2010! To donate, please contact the ACVO office.
Friday Night Gala
Mingle with your colleagues on the deck overlooking beautiful Mission Bay while enjoying hors' d'oeuvres, a cash bar and light background music (weather permitting, otherwise it will held indoors).

Saturday Fun Run & Walk
Join your colleagues for a beautiful run or walk around the resort. The run starts at 6:30am. Refreshements will be provided at the end of the run. Tickets are $10.00. The ACVO will donate any residual fees after expenses to a local charity to be selected at a later date.

Reduced SeaWorld Tickets for ACVO Attendees
All paid attendees for the conference, and their guests, will be eligible for a reduced fee SeaWorld pass. This pass is regularly $69 per person for a full day (May 2010 rates). In August we will sell reduced rate passes to ACVO attendees through a block we have with them. Attendance dates will be limited to Wednesday and Thursday, see details below. You could purchase one of the following for as many people as you would like in your party:
Option #1: Wednesday - 4+ hour admittance for $47 per person (adults/seniors/children).
Option #2: Thursday - 4+ hour admittance for $47 per person (adults/seniors/children).
